We look forward to seeing you at the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis this November 11 – 16, 2018 in Dallas.
The SC18 program is designed to highlight innovation in every area of scientific and engineering research. Univa underscores this year’s theme “HPC Inspires: Imagine the Possibilities” with a host of presentations, panels and demonstrations illustrating the groundbreaking advances in hybrid cloud computing. Please join us and our technology partners for the following:
Exhibition Hall – Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center
Univa Booth #2226 –
Performance and Extreme Scale Begin with Univa
The leading independent provider of software-defined computing infrastructure and workload orchestration solutions. Univa’s intelligent cluster management software increases efficiency while accelerating enterprise migration to hybrid clouds.
Meet Univa’s team of experts and discuss best-practices how to accelerate HPC cloud migration with Univa Grid Engine and Navops Launch. See how Mellanox Technologies and Force India F1 team optimized their HPC infrastructure and extended HPC workloads to hybrid cloud.
Pick up your Intel Bunny People Pin at Univa’s booth for you chance to win daily prizes. Intel “Spotters” will be giving out prizes on the show floor to select attendees that are displaying their pins.
Get your Singularity treasure hunt stamp at Univa’s booth to be entered into a raffle for a grand prize at the end of the show.
AWS Booth #3447 –
Deploying a million core HPC cluster in the Amazon Cloud
To demonstrate the unique ability to run very large enterprise HPC clusters and workloads, in June of 2018 Univa leveraged Amazon Web Services to deploy a cluster comprised of over one million cores to showcase the advantage of running large-scale electronic design automation (EDA) workloads in the cloud.
Stop by for a live demonstration as Univa shows how Navops Launch was used to build the 55,000 instance AWS cluster across three availability zones leveraging 16 instance types in just 2.5 hours.
CC-IN2P3 Booth #771 –
The CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) is the largest fundamental research organization in Europe. Univa provides the center with essential cloud support to simplify and manage dynamic high-performance computing infrastructure requirements.
Stop by for your chance to win prizes from Univa at three drawings:
The prizes for this year are Parrot Mambo FPV Drone, Mini Photo Printer, and Smart Pico Video Projector.
Univa presents: Enabling HPC and Deep Learning Workloads at Extreme Scale in the Cloud
Date: Tuesday, November 13th
Time: 2 pm – 2:30 pm
Location: Room D171
Enabling efficiency at extreme scale in the cloud, for workload management or other purposes, requires sophisticated integration and automation that also scales. By deeply integrating with AWS-specific APIs, the capabilities of this public-cloud provider are fully leveraged via Navops Launch in a highly automated fashion. In demanding policy-based launching of cloud instances, heroics are no longer required to scale HPC and Deep Learning workloads to the extreme.
Lunch & Learn: Migrating Your HPC Workloads to the Hybrid Cloud
Date: Wednesday, November 14th
Time: 12 pm – 1 pm
Location: The Westin Dallas Downtown, Bluebonnet C Room, 2nd fl., 1201 Main St, Dallas, TX 75202
An informative session and lunch hosted by Univa and sponsored by Red Hat. Special guests from Amazon Web Services and Intel will explore HPC trends and using automation to bridge on-premise with the cloud. Also, a panel of experts will discuss lessons learned from enterprises who have already transitioned HPC workload to the cloud.
Lunch and Learn is complimentary. Space is limited.
Intel Presents: HPC+AI Convergence on Univa Grid Engine
Date: Wednesday, November 14
Time: 4 pm – 5 pm
Location: Univa Booth #2226
Advancements in high performance computing present new opportunities to tackle exceedingly complex workflows. You don’t need to transfer data between your HPC and Big Data/AI clusters to cater your hybrid workflows. You can run Deep Learning, Machine Learning & Big Data Analytics workloads on your HPC current infrastructure. In this session we will talk about how to build HPC Ai converged platform using Univa Grid Engine.
We look forward to seeing you at SC18!
